On October 10th, Shenzhen's Longhua District announced a selection scheme for a lithium battery materials R&D center and production base. Shenzhen Yanyi New Materials Co., Ltd. is the intended land user.
Yanyi plans to build a new energy materials headquarters and R&D center in Longhua, focusing on power battery key components. The project covers 26,443 square meters, with 118,994 square meters of building area for R&D and production, plus 34,698 square meters for supporting facilities.
As an innovative SME, Yanyi specializes in lithium battery materials, filling industry gaps through disruptive innovation. This project aligns with local and national development goals, aiming to enhance Longhua's competitiveness in power battery materials. Yanyi's cathode lithium supplementation additive improves battery efficiency and lifespan. The project, which won a 2021 innovation award, is expected to generate 7.5 billion yuan annually and over 300 million yuan in taxes.
This strategic move follows Yanyi's cooperation agreement with Longhua District, showcasing the company's strength and marking a new development phase. Yanyi aims to contribute significantly to the new energy industry's growth in Longhua, Shenzhen, and beyond.
